Physics Notes: An object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in motion will continue in motion at constant velocity in a straight line unless acted upon by an outside force. The change in motion of an object is proportional to the ratio of the net force to the object's mass. For every action there is an opposite but equal reaction. Instead, Einstein reasoned that all motion was relative and that only the speed of light was constant. Available technology can drive physics discoveries or develop from them. Governments can be important in coordinating projects like expensive particle accelerators. Physics is an ongoing process.
